eoip tunnel on centos 7 and mikrotik please step by setp

۱. Login to the MikroTik router with Winbox and go to “IP” > “Cloud” on the left menu bar.

۲. Click the “+” sign to add a new interface and select EOIP.

۳. Enter a name for the interface (e.g., eoip-tunnel) and click on “Advanced Mode” at the bottom of the window.

۴. Under Local Address, enter the IP address of your local network (e.g., 192.168.0.0/24). After that, enter in your remote IP address under Remote Address (e.g., 10.10.10.0/24). The next step is to enter a shared secret for VPN tunnelling – this can be any random string of characters you choose (e.g., abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz1234567890). Make sure that it is secure, as anyone with knowledge of this secret will be able to connect to your tunnel!

۵. Now under Idle Timeout, adjust how long you want sessions on your tunnel to stay alive before being disconnected (in seconds). We recommend setting this higher if you’re going to use VoIP or streaming applications over the tunnel, as they require continuous network connections in order to function properly (you could try setting up 900 seconds = 15 minutes OR 1800 seconds = 30 minutes). Just make sure not to set this too high, as increased idle timeouts can undermine security protocols like IPSec or TLS/SSL by essentially allowing access for an unlimited amount of time!

6a On CentOS 7: As root user, open Terminal and type in: yum install eoip-tunnel –y . This should install EoIP tunneling on your system within a few minutes depending on your network speed & available memory resources .

6b On CentOS 7 : Next , create a configuration file that specifies which Mikrotik devices are allowed access through our EoIP tunnel . Navigate into /etc/sysconfig/eoiptunnel directory , then run nano mikrotikacl . Inside the Nano text editor ,input all names or IP addresses of authorized Mikrotik devices separated by semicolons ; save file by pressing ctrlX on keyboard & confirm with “Y” followed by Enter button ?Then run systemctl enable eoiptunnel and systemctl start eoiptunnel commands for enabling & starting EOIP tunnel service respectively .
7 Lastly ,return back into our Mikrotik device & test out newly created EOIP interface from WinBox -> Interfaces -> Ethernet List -> Search for eoip-tunneling . Open its settings;under IPv4 tab check if “ Connect To ” is set accordingly based upon what we entered earlier in /etc/sysconfig/eoiptunnels/mikrotikacl file ! If everything looks correct here then finally click Apply button on bottom right corner & enjoy full connectivity thru newly established EOIP connection !
